Fiafia night

On wednesday the 9th of April we had our fiafia night in our school. There were food stall and lots of people it was approximately 3000 people . Mr Burt called all the fiafia group to go to their changing room and my group  was the Samoan group. After we changed into our fiafia costumes we did a prayer in Samoan and then it was show time.

We walked and we sit where our group was we have to wear  our jackets  because it was cold that time it s about eight o’clock. The Senior Kapa Haka group was first they walked on the stage their hands were shaking I thought they were nervous but it was part of their dance and culture. Our number was number twelve and the number eleven was performing it was the junior hip hop group.

It was our turn to perform my heart was pounding that time some of the boys had butterflies in their stomachs. When we walking on stage the kids were cheering at our group calling out kids name. When we were performing we couldn’t even see anyone so none of us were nervous we were going hard out on the stage we were hyped up . Finally our performance was finished we were really tired and our parents were proud of us showing our culture.

Before fiafia was finished we finished of the Tongan from one of the prefects. After fiafia we went to our changing room and my auntie and uncle picked me and my sister. Then we went straight home and it was the best night ever.

Here are the highlights of the fiafia -
